New this year for Easter

The Flowering of the Cross. We will incorporate a folk ceremony called “The Flowering of the Cross”. Members, friends and neighbors will decorate a cross that will be on the church porch beginning Holy Saturday morning (March 30th). The crepe-paper made flowering of the cross represents the transition from crucifixion darkness to Easter resurrection light and serves as a sign of hope for our community and world. On Easter morning come see the flowered cross that symbolizes the new life, hope, and beauty which Easter brings.
