This year’s Crop walk to fight hunger takes place on October 20th.
If we work together, we can end world hunger. That’s why we’re participating in the CROP Hunger Walk to support CWS and help families who are struggling with hunger. Please join us with your steps and your donations. Together we will provide more meals for the growing number of people in our community who need them and create greater food security in communities around the world.

In the face of the continuing needs of hungry people around the world and on Martha’s Vineyard, Church World Services (CWS) and the MV CROP remain steadfast in their commitment to raising money in the fight against hunger through the annual hunger walk. Over the course of 33 years, the MV CROP Hunger Walks have raised $650,000+ to benefit the poor and hungry around the world and on our island. CROP is grateful for all walkers, volunteers and donors who join each year.
Chilmark Church has been a major participant and contributor to MV CROP for many years. In 2023 the church raised over $2500 towards the island’s $30,000 goal. The 3 mile Hunger walk is held annually on the Sunday following October Columbus Day. More information about local and world hunger needs as well as walk information go to Facebook.com/MVCROP
