SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
Come join us for the First Sunday in Lent March 9th at 9:00am, in person or Zoom, for the start of our Lenten journey. We again welcome Rev. Janet Stoddard to her new church home. She will lead worship and Sean McMahon, Music Minister, who will be offering up his special music as always. The sermon is entitled Wandering in the Wilderness based on Psalm 91 and Luke 4:1-13. PHASE 2 SOLAR PANELS APPROVED!
At the meeting on Sunday March 2 the church voted unanimously to move forward with Phase 2 – a new Parsonage roof and installation of solar panels to offset electric utility costs for church buildings.The work should begin shortly so keep an eye out on all the improvements. More information will follow.
LENTEN BIBLE STUDY WITH REV. VICKY
Kairos Bible Study meets weekly at 10:30 AM on Wednesdays through April 9 at the First Church of West Tisbury. The group will focus on the stories of Mary Magdalene’s journey with Jesus as portrayed in the Gospels. Materials from the Gospels of Mary and Thomas and Phillip, not included in our New Testament, will also be reviewed. All are welcome. For more information contact Rev. Vicky Hanjian at 508-696-8225. PIZZA NIGHTS – starts Tuesday @ 6pm
Pizza Night at the Church is an informal meal where the community at large can gather for camaraderie and food. It starts at 6pm with pizza, potluck salads, desserts and conversation followed by Bananagrams for those who want a game. It’s free and all are welcome. Help needed at 5:30 with dinner set up.
