Dear Members and Friends,

You are invited to join us for the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost June 16th at 9:00am, in person or Zoom. Rev. Charlotte will be leading worship along with Music Minister Sean McMahon. Sermon is titled “Flourishing” from Mark 4:26-34 where Jesus is sharing a parable about faith like a mustard seed. Worship order attached. Sunday School available. Zoom link click below.

THE CHILDREN’S FAIR – RAIN OR SHINE!

Church Children’s Fair is this Saturday from 10-12noon with fun activities and games for all. There will be face painting, bounce house, pony rides and more! Free and all ages welcome. Pictures Fair 2023.

GRADUATION/BIRTHDAY PARTY JUNE 15th

Andy Carr graduated from MVRHS on June 9th. He will be attending Roger Williams University in the fall and swimming on their swim team. A family hosted graduation/birthday party will be held Saturday June 15th 2-6pm in the church hall. All invited to stop by.

CHURCH CHOIR MEETING

Sean McMahon, Music Minister, would like to meet with those who have expressed an interest in an occasional choir for Chilmark Church. He has set aside this Sunday from 10:10 – 10:40am for a brief get-together. The purpose is to start on one simple choral piece and explore other selections for the future. Pass this on to others who may be interested. No past experience required!

LOBSTER ROLLS ARE COMING JUNE 25th!

June 25th the Lobster Roll sales begin on Tuesday 4:30 – 6:30 and will continue through August. Let Emily Broderick (erbroderick@hotmail.com) know if you want to take a 2-3 hour shift on Tuesdays with squeezing and prepping in the morning 9-11:30am and/or packaging, sales and clean-up in the afternoon. This is a major fundraiser for the church, so many hands make for light work.

CHILMARK CHURCH FLEA MARKET START JUNE 22
Our church sponsors the Chilmark Flea Market during the summer – 9 to 2 every Wednesday and Saturday – weather permitting. It is located at 142 North Road and is the oldest outdoor venue on the island. The “Flea” has evolved into a market like no other with high quality handmade items from Vineyard artists and craftsmen, antiques, imports, collectables and vintage finds.  Annette Anthony is the Flea Manager with a host of volunteers that help with spring organizing, field prep and early morning vendor money collection. We have trained and certified flaggers that will help with traffic flow as this popular event can get very busy. A thank you to Kathy Teel, Clark Goff and Emily Broderick who with Annette worked through the spring to get the 2024 Flea up and running smoothly.
