First Sunday in Advent<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHope\u201d is the first candle.\u00a0 The Carr family did the Advent readings and lit the candle. Rev. Janet preached on Isaiah\u00a0 2:1-5\u00a0 \u00a0 where Isaiah prophesied a new time where instruments of war are beaten into tools for farming and there is no more war.\u00a0 She asked how to reconcile the war torn world in so many places with Isaiah\u2019s promise.\u00a0 She referenced M.L.King\u2019s sermon,\u00a0 \u201c I have a dream\u201d and the fact that his sermons over time became more visions of God being present to bring the peace.\u00a0 Hope is not wishing, but having faith that God is present and will take part in our activities that bring peace and love to the world. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

fading away & disappearing, <\/p>\n\n\n\n
