{"id":8469,"date":"2025-04-05T21:29:49","date_gmt":"2025-04-06T02:29:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chilmarkchurch.org\/service\/?p=8469"},"modified":"2025-04-05T21:29:49","modified_gmt":"2025-04-06T02:29:49","slug":"april-showers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chilmarkchurch.org\/service\/index.php\/2025\/04\/april-showers\/","title":{"rendered":"April Showers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Members and Friends<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP<br \/>April 6, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will gather for our Fifth Sunday in Lent and celebrate Communion as time continues to fly by as we delight in the joys of Spring.\u00a0 Come join us for in person worship or on Zoom at 9am Sunday.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is wonderful to hear the Pinkletinks singing their song of spring each evening.\u00a0 Truly a sign that the wet spring weather is surely making one species happy.\u00a0 It is joyful to see the greens starting to creep out of the dreary winter pattern.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Sunday the Scriptures will be Isaiah 43:16-21, Philippians 3:4b-14 and John 12:1-8.\u00a0 God is doing a new thing in our lives and in the words we hear from the texts and\u00a0the focus will be on the passage from Isaiah. Have you ever felt like there wasn&#8217;t a way forward or a path that looked promising during difficult times? With God there is always the possibility of a way when it seems least expected.\u00a0 As we journey with Christ towards the Cross let us ask God to help us see a way forward we might not have considered before today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br \/>LENTEN BIBLE STUDY WITH REV. VICKY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kairos Bible Study continues to meet weekly at 10:30AM on Wednesdays through April 9 at the First Church of West Tisbury.\u00a0 The group will focus on the stories of Mary Magdalene&#8217;s journey with Jeus\u00a0as portrayed in the Gospels.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ALL ARE WELCOME!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PIZZA NIGHTS&#8211;Tuesday\u00a0@ 6pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us for an informal community meal. We gather for pizza, with potluck\u00a0salads, desserts\u00a0and conversation followed by\u00a0Bananagrams for those\u00a0that are good with words and want to laugh.
