This is true even though the body is made up of widely different parts or “members.”\u00a0Each part of the body contributes to the overall functioning of that body.\u00a0Paul says the same is true of the body of Christ. Each believer is one member of Christ’s “body” on earth.\u00a0Worship order attached.\u00a0Sunday School is available after the first hymn.\u00a0 Zoom link\u00a0below.\u00a0\u00a0Congregational Meeting scheduled for Sunday September 22 after church. MEETING RECAP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The NOW (Nurture, Outreach, Worship) committee met last week with Emily Broderick as chairperson. The committee members are Emily, Pam, Marie, Claire, Kathie C with Charlotte. Nurture, the spiritual well-being of the congregation, was discussed with a focus on Sunday School, adult education, and pastoral care. The church’s Outreach work, both local programs and global mission, was reviewed and plans were made for CROP in October and CWS blankets for December. Worship, special services, music and coffee hour were also reviewed, new ideas discussed, and suggestions made for improvement. If you would like to assist with any of these areas of ministry please let Rev. Charlotte or Emily know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ART SHOW: CHILMARK CHURCH AT CHILMARK LIBRARY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Two of our members will be showing drawings they have of Chilmark Church services and events at the Chilmark Library Oct 12 – Oct.31. The show is called “Chilmark Community Church Drawings”<\/strong> and is dedicated to Ron Rappaport and the gift of his help during disaffiliation. Anne Ganz has been cartooning at lobster roll sales, Chilmark Church Flea market, services and public activities involving our church. Virginia Stone has traditional drawings mostly made during Sunday morning church services. There may be a few surprises. Please come and support their endeavor.
