Please share with those you know.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mardi Gras (finally)!<\/strong>\u00a0We feasted on Cajun\/Creole cuisine with\u00a0St. Joan of Arc<\/strong>, the woman-warrior patron saint of New Orleans. Last\u00a0Tuesday night, members of both the church and the community gathered to learn about St. Joan of Arc and to share food together. The evening began with singing and a short lesson and then dinner was served. Joan of Arc is the unofficial patron saint of New Orleans so the theme was festive and delicious!\u00a0Thank you to Mo’s Lunch for the gumbo, Charlotte Wright for the rice and butternut squash soup, Judy Mayhew for the veggie casseroles and salad, and to Sarah Carr for the King Cake cupcakes with surprises hidden inside.\u00a0Sean McMahon put together the music (with Isla’s help singing) and the program about St. Joan. Rolino Joseph sang the French lyrics. Everyone cheerfully chipped in to clean up. VICKY HANJIAN: Dementia Friends Workshop<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n First Congregational Church of West Tisbury will sponsor a free Dementia Friends Workshop at noon on March 4, 2024 at the church.<\/strong> The workshop is designed to help people be more comfortable with folks who have a form of dementia and to help remove the stigma associated with dementia. Bring a bag lunch. Dessert and beverage will be provided.
