With Labor Day weekend just days away, schools soon in session, and the calendar flipping to September, summer may be coming to a close, but\u00a0Rolling Ridge is open and looking forward to a full fall schedule.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0With online and onsite opportunities on the calendar,\u00a0the Ridge seeks to care for your spiritual needs<\/strong>\u00a0amid the growing uncertainties of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

ONLINE,<\/strong>\u00a0our\u00a0Divine Friendships series<\/a>\u00a0on the Christian contemplative classics continues on\u00a0Monday, September 13th<\/strong>\u00a0as we look at\u00a0the Cloud of Unknowing,<\/a>\u00a0an anonymous work of Christian mysticism from the latter half of the 1300s. The book advises that\u00a0oneness with God cannot be obtained by knowledge and intellect<\/strong>, but by meeting God in the realm of \u201cunknowing\u201d, a simple but intense contemplation in a “cloud of forgetting” and a “dart of longing love” from the heart for God. Intrigued? \u00a0We invite you to step into the Unknowing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Also ONLINE<\/strong>, our\u00a0Voices and Stories series<\/a>\u00a0continues on\u00a0Wednesday, September 15th<\/strong>\u00a0as we kick-off\u00a0National Hispanic Heritage Month<\/a>\u00a0and look at the history of this celebration which\u00a0began as a week in 1966\u00a0<\/strong>and expanded to a month in 1988. \u00a0We will describe the difference between “Hispanic” and “Latinx”, and will be joined by\u00a0Walter Mena, Director of the Merrimack Valley Project,<\/strong>\u00a0who will share about his own immigration story from El Salvador, along with the\u00a0diversity and immigration issues of the Latinx community in the Merrimack Valley today.<\/strong><\/p>\n

ONSITE<\/strong>, Rolling Ridge is offering three in-person Monday\u00a0day retreats<\/a>\u00a0this month to help us\u00a0find new spiritual grounding<\/strong>\u00a0as we make sense of the past year. \u00a0Consider adding an overnight package to\u00a0make it a personal retreat<\/strong>\u00a0at the Ridge.<\/p>\n

We begin our September “Day Together” series on\u00a0Monday, September 8th<\/strong>,\u00a0Singing and Dancing the Holy,<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0Stephanie Rutt<\/strong>\u00a0as we step light to journey deep and embody the sacred mantra practices from across faith traditions. Using simple circle movements, we\u2019ll join together, hand in hand, breath by breath, footstep by footstep to\u00a0journey to the center of the holy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Monday, September 13th,<\/strong>\u00a0we seek to mindfully\u00a0emerge from a year of change<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0Understanding Impermanence<\/a>\u00a0with Marie Radzinsky. \u00a0Our emotions have been on a roller coaster over the past year and a half. \u00a0As we face anger, grief and fear, our thoughts are still trying to catch up. \u00a0Using experiential participation and teachings,\u00a0we will look through the lens of Mindfulness at Relationships<\/strong>\u00a0we have either lost or have become difficult, through the Landscape of our Earth to see changes and movement always taking place, and within our bodies to\u00a0witness the change also happening each moment of our life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Finally, on\u00a0Monday, September 20th<\/strong>, we invite you to\u00a0Tune Up Your Spirit<\/a>\u00a0with Janet Kessenich by\u00a0harmonizing your life to be in sync and flow.<\/strong>\u00a0Through sound healing, self-exploration, group discussion, and musical experiences, you will\u00a0deepen your connection with your soul\u00a0<\/strong>and be inspired to live a more insightful, meaningful, and satisfying life, centered in your heart and reflecting\u00a0your highest meaning and purpose<\/strong>\u00a0in an emerging post-pandemic world.<\/p>\n

With all that we’ve been through, and all that we continue to go through, our spirits are taking a beating. \u00a0Take some time this month to recharge, to reset, to renew.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
