\"DSCF0008\"<\/a>Lia Kahler entertained a full house with her fabulous voice on Sunday, September 14.Also performing were her friends Phil Dietterich, organ, and Richard Gordon, piano. \"P1010010\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Phil played his original arrangements of two spirituals, Ride On King Jesus <\/em>and There is a Balm in Gilead.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"DSCF0006\"<\/a>Richard played a stirring piano concerto,\u00a0Allegro de concierto por piano\u00a0<\/em>by Enrique Granados,\u00a0 that made the church instrument sing and shout.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 But simultaneously to the concert was a silent auction which raised over $2,500.
\n\"DSCF0001\"<\/a> \"DSCF0004\"<\/a>And prior to the concert Lia had fund raised for the steeple fund.
\nLia’s good friends manned the auction:<\/p>\n

\"DSCF0005\"<\/a>Not shown: Lia’s sister, Ann Nelson who was the usual backbone to the day’s proceedings.\u00a0 \u00a0 Fabulous refreshments were provided by church members with their grateful hearts for this beautiful occasion that raised enough funds to repair and paint the steeple and replace the 80 year old cross that was damaged in Hurricane “Sandy”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
