\nRisen and ascended Christ, you surround us with witnesses<\/strong>
\nand send us the Counselor who opens our minds to understand your teaching. Holy Father,\u00a0 bless us with such grace that our lives may become a blessing for the world now, and in the age to come.\u00a0 Draw us together and into your presence this day. Amen. <\/strong>

\nOpen our minds to understand the scriptures, O God,<\/strong>
\nso that when our separation from you cripples our hope,<\/strong>
\nwe may discover the freedom of your forgiveness;<\/strong>
\nwhen suffering and death overtake our lives,<\/strong>
\nwe may know the joy of the risen Christ;<\/strong>
\nand when we feel abandoned, we may comprehend the power of the promised Spirit. Amen.<\/strong>
